March Update, the numbers
I said yesterday I would go ahead and update you with the numbers, and here they are. I know it’s not the end of March yet, but it is the end of the paychecks that I will get in March. I know there are small amounts of cash coming in before the end of the month, but not enough to make a huge difference.
So here are my numbers. As you can see, a whopping near 4% reduction in debt in my first month ;) Ignore the #DIV/0! errors, I’m still getting a handle on spreadsheets.

Great job! I got rid of Capital One this month too :) It feels great to start eliminating debts - plus keep your eye out for low APR transfer rates. Capital One is usually willing to offer transfers with no fees when they see a $0 balance…

Keep up the good work! The cool thing is, the same amount of money makes more impact as your balances shrink.
As for the #DIV/0! error, there’s a way… I know it. Whenever Excel gives me grief, I see it as a challenge to work through.

Wow Mike! Over $2000 in debt knocked out in one month. That is so awesome. As that old Gatorade commercial says “I want to be like Mike!”

Maybe you can put up an ad - “send me enough paypal donations and I’ll show off my backside in tighty whiteys”! Gotta think laterally …
The best thing about your spreadsheet is that the balances are such that there are a few more cards there that should be down to zero relatively soon. More power to you.

For your spreadsheet issue, you can use an IF function to get around the Excel problem of not being able to divide by 0 (silly machines, they just don’t know better):
=IF(B3=0,0,D3/B3)
Thanks for visiting, and commenting, Deby, I do appreciate it! As for Excel, I actually use OpenOffice Calc and using that formula is producing a #NAME! (or something similar to that) error. Thankfully, I don’t do spreadsheets that contain more than a few SUM()’s that often… –Mike
